This week has
been pretty full on... but also possibly life changing as well...
Monday after
work I headed home to find some of my roommates having a house party. I ended
up having to leave, as I had salsa. I did promise that I would dance with the
teacher, which I didn’t want to miss out on. I headed home about 12pm to find
the party still in full swing. I ended up being kept up till 2am. It's
definitely hard living with so many people in one apartment!
Tuesday
before work I headed to an interview at Macquarie Park which went really well.
They said they would let me know. I headed back to work and that evening I just
relaxed with the roommates.
On Wednesday
after work I met up with one of the roommates and headed to Sydney Aquarium in
darling Harbour. It was pretty cool. I loved the jelly fish the
best.
Thursday after work was salsa performance training. The class was so hard and I kept on messing up which was frustrating. Check out how we got on...
Friday I finally got the call to say I had the job and I
got the money I wanted. They even said that after 3 months, if I can prove
myself they will sponsor me. This means I get to stay in Australia forever if I
choose too. I also get to organise their exhibition which is in Vegas,
hopefully, I get the chance to go!
I went to lunch with the work girls at Drink Better Wine
in North Sydney. The food was sooo good, I had Arancini Balls and Parmesan
chips.
After work the girls and I headed to El loco in Surrey
Hills. It was such a good night. We had lots of laughs over margaritas and
tacos, what more could you want? There were also lots of men there, I even got
a number! We ended up staying out till 2am at which point they were kicking us
out!
On Saturday I didn't wake up till 12.30pm! I went to the
cinema in Glebe and met up with the dance lot. There were about 25 people there
and we all watched Cuban Fury (salsa movie!). It was fun to get all together,
although, the movie was super cheesy!
After the cinema I headed back to the apartment to get
ready for my roommate's leaving party. It was a really good party, we all
dressed up and I got to wear a pink bow tie, the theme was pink! We even had
pink watermelon drinks which were yummy! I think we ended up going to bed at
5am!
Sunday I had to get up to go dance training which was sooo hard, but worth it, as we practiced all the patterns! Just need now to really focus on the lifts.
I hope you guys had a good week too?
Keeping you posted.
