Thirty eight weeks down...

This week I have been so lazy I really don't seem to want to do anything. I know I can't really spend much money at the moment, so I can save to go traveling. But I can't seem to even be bothered to do anything even if it's for free...

Monday I skipped salsa again, it's been almost a month, it's just with dance training it's too much dancing to do in one week!

On Wednesday we headed to The Beresford in Surrey Hills to watch the State of Origin rugby match. The bar was really cool and had a great vibe. We sat outside in the garden which had fairy lights and heaters not to mention a huge TV screen!

Thursday I have to admit I did skip salsa training, I had a headache and felt so tired, I decided not to go.

Friday I had a night in watching American Horror Stories which is very addictive!

Saturday I went to The Rocks with one of my housemates. We looked around the market and then headed to Bar100 for lunch and a few ciders. I had the pulled pork burger with chips for $10, what a bargain!

I then met up with my roommate and headed to Harlequin bar to watch England v New Zealand rugby match. We were terrible but at least I had a drink in my hand to ease the pain!

On Saturday night I really didn't fancy going out so I decided to Skype my friends from back home who were away for the weekend. It's so lovely to Skype them and catch up plus it's always guaranteed that they'll put a smile on my face.

My roommate eventually managed to talk me into going out! We ended up having about 8 Irish guys coming round to our place. It was good fun we ended up going to King Cross hotel and dancing till the early hours.

On Sunday I spent the morning relaxing and watching more American Horror Stories! I then headed to salsa training for a few hours.

Keeping you posted.

Thirty seven weeks down...

A is for Australia!! I have to mention that this time last year I was preparing for the lions tour which is crazy how time flies! I certainly didn't think my trip to Australia would lead me to live here for a year.

This week I've tried to eat healthy and avoid drinking which at the start of the week went well but as usual I failed...

On Wednesday night I went for a run around the Botanical Gardens with some of the housemates. After not running for a while it was good to see I wasn't completely unfit.

Thursday was dance training. As we have new dancers we are going through the chorography all over again breaking it all down for them so they can pick it up. I have to admit I don't think we are ready at all and we have less than a month left.... Oh crap.... Check out our spinning drills...

Friday evening everyone just chilled out at the apartment and watched TV. I think it's my first Friday that I have stayed in, in a while!

Saturday I woke up at lunch time and headed out for a run. It was a stunning winter's day and the views were amazing around the Opera House.

Saturday evening I was planning on staying in again as the rugby was on. Me and the roomie watched New Zealand v England which was a very close match. Unfortunately, England lost by one point.

We then decided to head to a rugby bar to watch Australia v France. We went to a place called The Harlequin Inn in Pyrmont. The drinks were sooo cheap and the atmosphere was like a traditional English pub.

After the match we decided to go to The Star Casino. The guys we were with bought us cocktails all night and before we knew it, it was 4 am!

On Sunday I was feeling slightly worse for wear so I stayed on the couch all day! It wasn't too bad as we had a few visitors drop by to see us and hang out. Not only did our friends drop by but we also had other visitors stopping by... this came in the form of a cockatoo. We have loads of them stop by and sit on our window ledges. I have to admitt they are kinda cute really!! I thought I would also share with you guys the amazing sunsets we have been having here as they really are stunning!

Keeping you posted.

Thirty six weeks down...

This week has been super fun. We have had lots of visitors staying at our apartment. 11 people is quite a lot in the apartment but they have all been really lovely so its been a really good laugh.

Monday I decided to skip salsa as I needed to get myself ready for the races the next day.

On Tuesday I put on my new dress which is from Oxford clothing (see below) and headed to the races with my co-workers. It was a pretty fun day. I got to have lots of champagne and a four course meal for free! I ended up making the bets for our table and I managed to win them $50 dollars, although, we lost around $150!! I think my betting days are over...

Afterwards, I headed to the passage in Darlinghurst with some of my roommates as it was 50% off the bill. I have a feeling that this is going to be my go to restaurant as the food is amazing!

Wednesday night I was so tired I decided to stay in, however, my roommates went out so I was woken up in the early hours. I headed to work on Thursday as usual but it was so tiring and my head started to hurt so I decided to go home.

Thursday evening I had to go to salsa performance training which was fun but my usual partner wasn't in so I was dancing with another dancer. ALthough, my teacher has changed the ending so I'm no longer doing the lift which was my favourite bit. *sad face*

Friday evening we pre-drank at ours and then headed to Kings Cross Hotel. It was pretty dead so we ended up going to the Stonewall Hotel on Oxford street, which is a gay club. It was entertaining, especially, as everyone just wants to dance like maniacs and of course you could find me dancing in the cage!!

Saturday morning I met up with one of my old work colleges and we walked from Bondi to Maroubra which was about five and a half miles. This is one of the most popular things to do in Sydney as the scenery is very beautiful!

We stopped in Coogee for lunch at Gusto Espresso Bar for brunch. I had a mango smoothie and fruit, yogurt and granola which was delicious.

Saturday evening we headed to a friends house party which was good fun. The theme was Royals so I had an excuse to wear a crown for the night. By the end of it the house was trashed and everyone was pretty hammered!

Sunday morning all of the house mates and guests were all relaxing in the lounge watching movies and eating pizza which was nice to all chill after a hectic night.

I then went to the hospital with a couple of friends to visit one of the girls from our performance team who was taken ill. It was great to see she was ok, but unfortunately, shes had to pull out of the team which is a great shame after all the months of practice.

Sunday evening we had a few drinks at home and then made our way to the Opera bar before heading to Cargo Lounge in Darling Harbour. It was so much fun dancing away with everyone.

Keeping you posted.

Thirty five weeks down...

This week has been a mixture of ups and downs. I seem to be on a rollarcoster of emotions at the moment and really have no idea why!

On Monday I headed to salsa after work where I went passed the vivid display. It was so packed and trying to get through the crowds were a nightmare! Salsa was great fun and even had a dance with the teacher which was amazing.

On Tuesday I headed to the cinema with the boys to watch xmen which was a great movie.

Wednesday I decided to run home from Town Hall and around Kings Cross. I then ended up going to Grill'd in Paddington with two of the roomies. I had a burger with sweet potato chips which completely made my run void!

Thursday was dance class as usual, however, this week was awful I just couldn't get out of my own way. I was sooo rubbish and got more and more frustrated with myself.

On Friday after work we all played drinking games and headed to the Argle. It was a good night until the end when there was quite a lot of drama as everyone was way too drunk!

Saturday I spent the day shopping as I was trying to find a dress, however, no such luck. I needed to find a posh frock for the races with work as they have a table so I have an excuse to dress up on Thursday! I get to go with the managers, which, is pretty good that I get to go aswell but I do feel bad for the other staff members.

In the evening me and a few roomies decided to head to the opera house to check out vivid and then have a drink at the opera bar.

Sunday I continued on shopping and finally found a dress! I spent the rest of evening watching Harry Potter!!!

Keeping you posted.
